The R&D department is another key in understanding the fast development of Dream Fruits in the market. Within the last business year the investments in the R&D department amounted to 2,2 million euros. The most important accomplished projects are:
* Design and automation of a converting, refrigerating and packing plant for vegetables, which can convert and pack fresh vegetables. The plant meets all the demands of traceability in the ambit of production and marketing of processed vegetable products.
* Design of a homogenisation, pasteurisation and bottling plant for natural juices. This project was developed in collaboration with the “Centro Tecnólogico Nacional de la Conserva”, the AINIA (Institute which belongs to the Network of Technological Institutes of the Valencia Region (REDIT)), and the Federation of Innovation and Technology (FEDIT).
* Design of an intelligent and robotized warehouse system for processed vegetable products.. As Dream Fruits in the last three years has duplicated its invoicing and therefore also its logistic requirements, they tackled one of the biggest companies due to its investment in innovative technology for its operational processes: to optimise the stock, to comply with time limits and to control labour costs. Because of these reasons, Dream Fruits collaborated with Siemens Dematic, one of the best suppliers of technology in the warehousing sector.
To accomplish these projects, Dream Fruits uses great technological infrastructures developed by top engineers in R&D of the sector of processing of agrarian products, as well as its own technology developed in its own pilot plant.
