Since Dream Fruits started its business in 1972 they have made many efforts and investments to adapt itself to customers' and the market's demands. The sales volume of the first 10 years was generated in the Spanish market, until 1983 when the company started to sell outside the domestic market, initially to Portugal.
The great impulse to increase the export sales and to advance in the process of internationalisation occurred at the start of the project of production and distribution of must concentrate in 1988.
In 1991 Dream Fruits became the greatest European producer of must concentrate, supplying the majority of national and international juice-bottling enterprises, for example in France, the UK, the Nordic countries, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, the USA, Australia, Angola and Mozambique. In this year the sales amounted to 30 million euros, 80% in exportation.
In 1998 the first bottling plant was implemented. This was a fundamental change in the course of business because they were no longer only a supplier of products in bulk, but also of bottled products. The experiences and the contacts at international level were adapted to the marketing of the first packed product, the fruit dessert GABRY.
Year in, year out, Dream Fruits had a strong focus on the business sector of bottled products, incorporating and enlarging its product range, such as: juices, nectars, gazpacho, jams, refreshments, wines in different packages and formats, offering its clients a more comprehensive service.
The turnover has increased since the 30 million euros in the nineties, nevertheless 80% of the sales are still generated by exportation. The Year 2005 closed with a turnover of 72 million euros, 55% generated by the bottled products and the balance from products in bulk. Generally, 80% of the turnover in any business unit is generated by exportation. Highest sales are in France (45%), followed by the UK, Germany, Japan, Malaysia and South Korea.
